When customising a campervan, most people think about interiors, storage, and sleeping arrangements, but one of the most important upgrades often goes unnoticed alloy wheels.
Whenever Volkswagen announces a new generation Transporter, the UK listens. From builders to campervan converters, everyone wants to know: when can we actually buy one?
Multivan Arrives First
The **VW T7 Multivan** launched in mainland Europe in 2024, with UK orders expected late 2025. Trims will include Life, Style, and Energetic, all offering petrol, diesel, and eHybrid powertrains. Expect to see demo units in dealerships before Christmas 2025.
Transporter Follows in 2026
The **VW T7 Transporter** — the van most converters are waiting for — will arrive mid-2026. It will feature familiar TDI and TSI engines, as well as an eHybrid version later in the year. Order books are likely to open in spring 2026.
Camper Conversion Timeline
For converters, new-generation platforms always come with delays. Wiring, layout adjustments, and roof systems take time to adapt. The first Spartan T7-based campervans will appear in early 2026.

Be patient. If you’re planning a conversion or trade fleet purchase, expect a staged rollout. The Multivan suits families now, but serious camper and commercial buyers should Q1 2026 in the diary.
