Catch our exclusive interview with Peter Vaughan at the January Motorhome & Campervan Sale
Earlier this year, the Spartan Campers team kicked off the season at one of the UK’s premier indoor campervan shows – the January Motorhome & Campervan Sale at Stoneleigh Park. As the new year buzzed with fresh travel plans and van life dreams, we joined fellow exhibitors and thousands of visitors in Warwickshire for a weekend that brought together the best of the campervan world under one roof.
One of the highlights of the show? Our very own Joe from Spartan Campers was invited for an on-camera chat with none other than Peter Vaughan, the highly respected motorhome journalist and reviewer known for his in-depth insights and honest takes on all things van-related.
The interview was filmed right in the heart of the exhibition halls at Stoneleigh, with our Spartan camper taking centre stage in the background – gleaming, functional, and true to our “Campervans Built by Campers” ethos. It was a great opportunity to share what makes our conversions stand out and give a real voice to the passion and experience behind every Spartan build.
If you haven’t seen the video yet, it’s now live – and well worth a watch. In the interview, Joe discusses the story behind Spartan Campers, what sets us apart from other converters, and how we combine years of hands-on campervan experience with genuine customer care. You’ll get a glimpse into the details that matter most to us – from the craftsmanship and materials we use to the clever layouts and extras that make a Spartan van truly unique.
Joe also talks about the three routes to owning a Spartan camper – whether it’s buying one of our showroom-ready models, letting us source and convert a van for you, or bringing your own vehicle in for a full or part conversion. It’s all about flexibility and making sure each customer’s dream becomes a reality, no matter where they’re starting from.
Stoneleigh Park provided the perfect setting for the conversation. As one of the biggest indoor venues in the country, the January Motorhome & Campervan Sale is always a fantastic event to kick off the new year. Organised by Out & About Live, the show featured a wide range of leisure vehicles, accessories, and expert advice. It attracts newcomers and seasoned van-lifers alike, all eager to explore, compare, and get inspired for their next adventure.
Between conversations on the stand, test drives, and checking out the latest tech, the energy across the halls was electric. For Spartan, it was a great chance to reconnect with our community, welcome new faces, and showcase what we’ve been working on behind the scenes.
It was also an ideal opportunity to remind people what being part of the Spartan Family is all about – not just owning a van, but becoming part of a community that values craftsmanship, adventure, and shared experiences. Whether you were one of the many who stopped by for a chat, left your details for a future van, or simply admired the builds from afar – we truly appreciate your support.
And of course, we couldn’t be prouder of Joe for stepping in front of the camera and representing Spartan Campers with authenticity and warmth. His passion for the brand and love for the campervan lifestyle came across perfectly – something that we know resonates with every future Spartan owner.
If you haven’t seen the interview yet, hit play on the video above. Whether you’re considering your first van or looking to upgrade, it’s a great way to get a real feel for who we are, what we stand for, and why a Spartan camper might be just what you’re looking for.
The January Motorhome & Campervan Sale was more than just a weekend show – it was a celebration of all things van life, and the perfect stage to share our story. Thanks again to Peter Vaughan for the brilliant interview and to everyone who joined us at Stoneleigh Park. Here’s to more conversations, more adventures, and more Spartan journeys ahead.
