Certified & Ready for the Road
Before delivery, every Spartan goes through a complete mechanical service, safety inspection, and certification process — ensuring it meets the same standards we demand for our own vehicles. We build and test every van as if we were the ones taking it on the road.
Each build includes:

Gas Safe certification – Every gas system is installed and tested by a qualified Gas Safe engineer. This ensures your cooker, heater, and pipework are safe to use, properly ventilated, and fully compliant with UK regulations. It’s peace of mind that the systems you rely on for cooking and heating are secure and built to last.

M1 crash-tested seating and bed system – All seating and bed frames used in Spartan conversions are fully M1 crash-tested. They’ve been physically tested to meet European safety standards for strength and restraint performance. Whether you’re carrying passengers or using the bed for sleeping, you can trust the structure beneath you. *On VW T7 campervans fitted with the passenger double bench seat, the passenger seat airbag deployment unit will be disabled.

Full electrical safety test – Every electrical system is professionally checked, from wiring routes to fuse ratings and battery connections. These tests ensure there are no weak links or hidden faults, so your sockets, chargers, and lighting work safely and reliably both on-grid and off.

Comprehensive vehicle service and inspection – Before we even start the build process, each vehicle goes through a complete mechanical service and safety inspection to make sure it’s in top condition. This isn’t a quick check — it’s a full assessment to ensure the van performs as well as it looks.
For vehicles with 40,000 miles or more, we replace the cambelt, water pump, auxiliary belts, and pulleys as standard, along with a full service including oil, filters, and fluids. These key components are critical to long-term reliability, and replacing them before conversion means your engine is protected for years to come.
Every Spartan also comes with a fresh 12-month MOT, completed before delivery, giving you complete confidence that your van has passed all legal safety and emissions standards.
