Converter of the Year Winner 2025

Inside a Spartan, everything has its place — and every detail has been earned through real use.

We’ve spent three years developing and refining our interior layout, testing it on the road and listening to the people who know it best: our customers. Even now, we keep improving. Our team are all campers themselves, so the design process never really stops. We live with these layouts, take them away on weekends, and notice the small things that make a big difference. You only need to bang your head once on a sharp corner to learn that usability always trumps aesthetics.

It’s through that hands-on experience that we keep evolving the design — softening edges, improving access, and finding smarter ways to make the space work. Things like a snack cupboard you can reach even when the bed’s down come directly from real-world use. Those details matter when you’re living in the van, not just looking at it. It’s a hands-on approach that means every Spartan feels thought-through, not just well-made.

Smart Storage, Thoughtful Design

The short wheelbase model makes clever use of every inch of space. It feels open and balanced, yet holds everything you need for long trips or daily use.

  • Four overhead lockers for everyday essentials — strong, light, and easy to reach.

  • A full-length wardrobe with a shelf for clothes or personal gear.

  • A large cupboard beneath the microwave, sized to hold a Porta Potti neatly out of sight.

  • A full-height cupboard to the right of the kitchen, designed for the fresh water container and extra storage.

  • A spacious compartment beneath the Fabworx rock-and-roll bed, accessible from inside and through the rear doors — perfect for chairs, tools, or outdoor kit.

  • The double front bench seat includes two large storage bins, ideal for shoes, bedding, or items you want close to hand.

  • Above the fridge, we’ve added a sliding cutlery drawer tucked neatly under the sink — small detail, big difference.

The long wheelbase version adds even more storage, featuring a second full-length cupboard between the fridge and microwave. This extra space keeps the layout balanced while giving you room for more gear on longer trips.

Built Around Real Use

Every cupboard, drawer, and storage space has been tested, adjusted, and reworked until it felt right. We’ve balanced function and finish, so you get genuine usability without losing the clean, modern look Spartan is known for.

From the lighting zones to the cabinet trims, every detail has a purpose. The materials are chosen for strength, ease of use, and a finish that holds up to everyday life on the road. It’s practical without feeling cold — a space that’s easy to live in, simple to clean, and always ready for the next trip.

The overhead lockers have been designed so you can reach essentials no matter how you’re using your camper. Finding the teabags without having to put the bed away might sound small, but it’s the kind of detail that makes daily life simpler.

Being able to access the under-bed storage from both inside and outside the van means convenient packing, even when the weather isn’t on your side.

The full-length wardrobe lets you hang your clothes properly, keeping them crease-free and ready to wear when you need them. It’s this attention to detail, and to how we actually use our campers, that shows through in every Spartan conversion. Nothing is there for show; every element is well thought out, practical, and built for the real world.
