Converter of the Year Winner 2025

Connecting with van-lifers, celebrating new family members, and soaking up the spirit of Camperjam 2025

The Spartan Campers team has just returned from a brilliant weekend at Camperjam #16, and what a weekend it was! Held at the beautiful grounds of Weston Park in Shropshire, Camperjam is one of the UK’s most-loved Volkswagen festivals – and it’s not hard to see why. The sun was shining, the vans were gleaming, and the atmosphere was buzzing with community spirit.

As always, we arrived with our Spartan stand fully stocked and shining bright, showcasing a selection of our latest VW Transporter conversions. From sleek T6.1s to fully-kitted family campers, our vans stood proudly amongst hundreds of others, each one representing a different story, journey, or lifestyle. But what made this weekend truly special wasn’t just the vans – it was the people.

We had the pleasure of speaking to so many incredible campervan owners who took the time to share their van life stories with us. From full-time road-trippers to weekend adventurers, the tales of freedom, exploration, and unforgettable moments reminded us why we do what we do. There’s something magical about hearing how a campervan becomes more than just a vehicle – it becomes a home, a memory-maker, and a symbol of independence.

A huge welcome goes out to the newest members of the Spartan Family who joined us over the weekend! It was amazing to meet so many of you who stopped by to chat, take a tour of our conversions, and ultimately decided to start your next chapter with a Spartan campervan. We can’t wait to follow your journeys and see where your adventures take you. If you haven’t already, make sure to join our Spartan Family group on Facebook – it’s where stories are shared, friendships are formed, and advice is always just a post away.

Of course, it wasn’t all work for the team. Camperjam is known for its relaxed vibe and fantastic entertainment – and this year did not disappoint. We took some time to wander around the showground, checking out the amazing variety of vans on display. From retro classics to modern marvels, every corner of Weston Park had something unique to offer.

As the sun went down, the festival truly came to life. The live music was electric, the bars were buzzing, and the food trucks were packed with fellow campers tucking into everything from stone-baked pizza to sizzling burgers. We even managed to sneak in a few drinks ourselves and unwind around the campfire with some great company.

One of our highlights? Catching up with our good friends over at Savvyvan. It’s always a pleasure to see other passionate van enthusiasts who share the same dedication to the craft. Swapping stories, exchanging ideas, and just enjoying the campervan lifestyle together is what these events are all about.

For anyone who’s never been to Camperjam, it’s more than just a festival – it’s a celebration of van culture, family, and freedom. With dedicated areas for families, dog lovers, and club displays, it caters to everyone. There were loads of kids’ activities, a fantastic vintage fairground, wellness zones, and even a dog show – making it one of the most inclusive camper events of the year.

If you came to say hello, thank you – you made our weekend. If you missed us this time, don’t worry. We’ve got more shows on the horizon, and we’d love to meet you at the next one. Whether you’re already part of the Spartan Family or you’re just starting to explore the idea of van life, we’re always here to help make your camper dreams a reality.

Until next time, Camperjam – stay wild, stay curious, and keep the adventures rolling.

Camperjam 16 was everything we hoped for and more – a weekend of conversations, connections, and community. Thank you to everyone who made it so memorable. From those who joined the Spartan Family to those who simply stopped by for a chat, we appreciate every moment. Here’s to many more festivals, road trips, and shared stories ahead.
